Message of the Chancellor

Welcome to Dewan University; YOU are joining us at the beginning of an exciting new venture concerned to re-orient higher education in Pakistan.

Following its Vision statement, SBB Dewan University is to contribute effectively to the emergence of Pakistan as a major economic power, utilizing all resources and applying all outcome-oriented strategies. Following its Mission, Dewan University aiming to personify students personal and professional growth focusing on imparting education to serve the purpose of making individuals independent and competent to sustain in the societal pressures they face in real life.

SBB Dewan University has been established with the explicit purpose of bridging the gap between the academic and the business sector. This University is not an ivory tower. We will seek to develop curricula to integrate theory and practice in all the faculties – medicine, health care sciences, management, engineering, informatics and the social sciences to address the present and assess future challenges in notational and global scenario.

Dewan Group is committed to provide opportunities for Dewan University’s students through incubation projects and through participation in the work of the companies for applying the knowledge and skills they acquire in their degree programs. The teaching and learning groups will have to participate in the real world problem-solving domain during their courses and degree programs to acquire the desired skills and knowledge. It is not sufficient to replicate global best practices. It is however equally necessary to craft policies and strategies which reflect not only the practical needs of Pakistan’s business but also our economy as a whole.
